Congratulations to the winners of the SPC Innovator Awards and their sustainable package designs; UPM Raflatac (with Forest Film), YFYJupiter (with Revamped Bicycle Packaging), and Graham Packaging Company (with REFPET Generation III). Trayak was proud to be the sponsor of this year’s awards. Trayak’s CEO, Prashant Jagtap, had the pleasure of introducing the winners at the SPC Advance Virtual Conference.
This year’s SPC Innovator Awards categories of Responsible Sourcing, Design Optimization, and Recovery are very timely to the needs of the industry. As a testament to this, over 50 SPC member companies participated this year. There were a record 78 sustainable package design submissions. We are sure the judges had a tough time picking the winners.
Trayak chose to sponsor this award because we value innovation in every single thing we do. We innovate ourselves and we work closely with others who do. We are passionate about seeking out, encouraging, supporting, and recognizing innovation in the field of sustainable packaging. All of you who submitted an entry for the award probably realized the importance of measuring, quantifying, and documenting the sustainability benefits of your innovation. That’s what we do at Trayak, our software applications for LCA help you measure the benefits of your sustainability initiatives, make smart decisions, and report progress both within and outside your organization.
To all the participants, thank you for valuing innovation and submitting your applications for this award, keep up the good work. To all the finalists, congratulations on making it this far.
