Trayak is excited to announce that we are able to conduct Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). EPDs are gaining traction globally, especially in Europe, and they provide a standardized, publicly available format to communicate the environmental performance of products. Though historically focused on construction materials, EPD use is now growing across industries, including the electrical, packaging, apparel, and chemical sectors.
Each EPD requires a third-party reviewed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in accordance with ISO 14040/44, as well as an independent third-party verification of the EPD in accordance with ISO 14025 and the applicable PCR. While LCAs are long technical documents that provide context to the environmental results, EPDs summarize the LCA into a consistent and digestible format. The verified EPDs can then be published through an accredited program operator such as The International EPD System, EPDItaly, or UL Solutions.
