Trayak Offers ISO 14046-Compliant Water Footprint Assessments

MASON, OH – March 9, 2026

Trayak is proud to announce that the EcoImpact Sustainability Platform is now verified to generate ISO 14046-conformant Water Footprint reports. ISO 14046 is the internationally recognized standard that specifies the requirements and guidelines for conducting water footprint assessments. This new capability enables companies to make sustainability decisions backed by independent verification and global standards. For organizations seeking to publish results or substantiate marketing claims, Trayak also offers third-party review consulting services to support credible disclosures.

Trayak’s Water Footprint Method is an LCA framework that evaluates a comprehensive set of water-related impacts across 7 indicators, including 4 degradation, 1 availability, and 2 water inventory indicators.

  • Freshwater Ecotoxicity (CTUe)
  • Marine Eutrophication (kg N eq.)
  • Freshwater Eutrophication (kg P eq.)
  • Water Use (m3 deprived)
  • Thermal Pollution (PDF.m2.yr)
  • Water Inventory Use (m3)
  • Water Inventory Consumption (m3)

Other LCA methodologies, such as IMPACT World+ (the methodology that EcoImpact-COMPASS is based on) and the Environmental Footprint Method, remain available and valid. If you are interested in an analysis using Trayak’s Water Footprint Method, please contact us or reach out to your Trayak representative.
