Job Description: As a full-time Sustainability Analyst, you will assist in the goto market and business development activities of Trayak’s sustainability solutions. You will collaborate with team members to support customer engagement, improve user experience, and support customers in their sustainability initiatives. You will lead life cycle assessment projects and research projects for clients, product development, and to increase the knowledge of internal teams. Your responsibilities will include building client relationships, understanding their sustainability needs, providing tailored solutions to meet their objectives, and pursuing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their sustainability needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their objectives.
2. Manage multiple sustainability and research projects simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing strategies to expand the client base and grow revenue, including Manage the sales pipeline, tracking leads and opportunities from initial contact through to closing.
4. Collaborate with internal technical and non-technical teams to align sustainability efforts with overall business objectives and support external communications.
5. Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and providing ongoing support to address any sustainability-related questions or challenges.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
7. Create engaging and persuasive content for marketing collateral, website, blog posts, whitepapers, whitepapers, help documents, and internal resources.

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or related field
2. Passionate about sustainability, action oriented, and results driven
3. Experience with data gathering tools and ability to learn new software and concepts quickly
4. Strong interpersonal communication skills and comfortable with in-person events, virtual meetings, and phone calls while developing genuine client relationships
5. Awareness of sustainability issues, measurements, and reporting requirements
6. Responsiveness to customer requests and ability to investigate and dig deeper in customer issues
7. Flexible to support changing needs and eagerness to learn on the job
8. Initiative to think outside the box, curious, and a continuous learning mindset
9. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients on an ongoing basis while managing other responsibilities
10. Effective, professional written and oral communications
11. High level of comfort and knowledge using data to drive insights, decisions, and to quantify impact
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
14. Highly organized, creative, and attentive to detail
15. Experience and knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and online advertising platforms a plus
16. Knowledge of LCA, packaging and/or product sustainability a plus
