MASON, OH – November 18, 2025
Trayak is pleased to announce expanded support within the EcoImpact Sustainability Platform and our consulting services to help companies meet Oregon’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements. This includes third-party reviewed Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) aligned with Oregon’s eco-modulation bonus program as well as the mandatory LCA disclosures required for Oregon’s Top 25 Producers.
Oregon’s EPR program introduces one of the most detailed packaging reporting frameworks in the United States. Obligated producers must submit comprehensive data on packaging materials supplied into the state and, for the eco-modulation bonus incentives, verify environmental impacts through third-party reviewed LCAs. In addition, the state’s Top 25 Producers are required to disclose LCAs covering the top 1% of their products.
To support these requirements, Trayak now provides LCA services using the Environmental Footprint (EF) method—Oregon’s required methodology for eco-modulations and LCA disclosures. Additionally, in alignment with Oregon’s product category rules, Trayak offers Mismanaged Waste Index (MWI) calculation and MarILCA characterization factors for plastic leakage.
Comprehensive Support for Eco-Modulation Bonuses
Oregon’s incentive structure rewards producers that evaluate their environmental impact through eco-modulation bonuses:
-
- Bonus A: Disclosure of a third-party reviewed LCA
-
- Bonus B: Verified improvements to packaging released the previous reporting year
-
- Bonus C: Reusable/refillable packaging
Trayak’s consulting team works closely with producers to identify eligible SKUs, determine the optimal bonus, prepare all required LCA documentation, and submit the LCAs through the necessary portals.
Support for Top 25 Producer LCA Disclosures
Producers identified by the Circular Action Alliance as a Top 25 Producer must disclose LCAs covering at least the top 1% of the products they supply in Oregon. This list will be finalized by March 31st, 2026. Trayak’s EcoImpact Sustainability Platform streamlines this process with automated data modeling, EF method compliant LCAs, and third-party review support.
Deadlines Are Approaching
Oregon’s program launched on July 1, 2025. The 2nd round of producer reporting, as well as submissions for eco-modulation bonus B and C, is anticipated for May 31st, 2026. With the long review process, now is the time for producers to begin LCA preparation.
